Snitsig Visits Japan!
May, 2007
Snitsig met with US Foreign Service Officers in Japan to demonstrates how they can use Snitsig's newest creation
to exchange belongings with fellow Foreign Service Officers.
Foreign Service Officers of the United States expressed interest in a website that would help them
inventory personal belongings and network within their community to exchange belongings: including selling,
donating, trading, or loaning items.
"It's the perfect system for us! We move often and moving all our belongings with us doesn't make sense,
especially items like microwaves that can't be used in another country. Selling or donating this
stuff to other Officers headed to your current post or finding items from Officers vacating your next post
makes perfect sense!" said Vice Consul Heather Eaton, US Consulate, Osaka, Japan.
Vanessa Schulz, also a Vice Consul at the US Consulate in Osaka, Japan, says "I also like the idea of borrowing and loaning
things like English-language DVDs with other officers in our consulate and keeping a wish list of all the stuff I want!"
Snitsig welcomes US Foreign Service Officers around the world to begin using Snitsig's site to keep track of
belongings and exchange items with fellow officers, especially those moving to new posts during the upcoming
transfer season.
